1. Project title

„Expansion of Copernicus Toruń Hotel's activities by introducing outdoor film screenings in Toruń, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship”.

2. Project objective

The objective of the undertaking is to diversify the activities of Copernicus Toruń Hotel by introducing a new outdoor film screening service, organized in an external tent on the premises. The expansion aims to increase the hotel's attractiveness, attract new clients and adapt to growing expectations regarding leisure time. The implementation of the project will increase the company's resilience to changing market conditions and crisis situations.

3. Planned tasks and activities within the project

  • Purchase of modern, energy-efficient audiovisual equipment, including a 4K laser projector, a battery-powered mobile sound system and a professional projection screen.
  • Purchase of cinema area furnishings for viewers, including 400 chairs, 10 two-seater cinema sofas for VIP zones and a safe, foldable floor to facilitate movement.
  • Implementation of a modern digital ticket sales and reservation management system that will enable customers to purchase tickets online.
  • Use of specialized consulting services (in technological and legal areas and in creating a new business model).
  • Conducting professional training for hotel staff in operating audiovisual equipment, organizing film events, health and safety (BHP) and customer service.

4. Target groups

  • Guests of the Copernicus Hotel.
  • Local residents of Toruń.
  • Tourists visiting the region.
  • Film enthusiasts and participants of film festivals (such as Camerimage or Tofifest).

5. Effects and outcomes of the project

  • Introduction of a completely new service under the name „Outdoor Cinema Copernicus Toruń Hotel”.
  • Increase in the hotel's competitiveness and innovativeness on the tourism and hospitality market.
  • Automation of sales and reservation processes, which will significantly improve customer comfort and the hotel's operational efficiency.
  • Increase in the hotel's revenues and generating income also during months outside the main tourist peak.

6. Project value and funding

Total project value: 662 133,19 PLN.

Amount of contribution from European Funds: 484 487,70 PLN.
